People often ask why it is important to support missions. The answer is found in scripture.
The greatest mission ever known was when God looked down and sent His Son: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
We are God's ambassadors and the world will never be brought to Christ unless we bring Christ to the world: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:20
Christ commanded us to go and make disciples: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:29
